Return Policy

At Roots Edu Toys, we want you and your little ones to be completely satisfied with your purchase. Please read our return policy carefully before placing an order.
1. Returns Window
You may request a return within 7 days of receiving your order, in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act.
2. Conditions for Returns
- Unused / Unopened items: Returns are accepted for items that are still in their original packaging, unused, and in their original condition.
- Used items: We cannot accept returns on items that have been used or show signs of wear, for hygiene and safety reasons — these are educational toys for children.
- Defective items: If you receive a defective or damaged product, please contact us within 48 hours of receiving your order. We will arrange a replacement or full refund at no additional cost to you.
- Wrong item received: If we shipped the wrong item, we will arrange collection and send you the correct item at no cost.
3. Return Shipping Costs
- Change of mind / non-defective returns: Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer. You must arrange and pay for return shipping.
- Defective or incorrect items: We will cover the return shipping cost and arrange collection where possible.
4. Inspection
Once we receive the returned items, they will be inspected to ensure they are in their original condition. Refunds will only be issued after successful inspection.
5. Refund Process
Approved refunds will be processed within 5–7 working days after the returned item has been received and inspected. Refunds will be issued to your original payment method via Yoco.
6. Non-Returnable Items
The following items cannot be returned:
- Items marked as "final sale" or "clearance"
- Gift cards and vouchers
- Customised or personalised items
- Items that have been opened and used (for hygiene and safety)

8. Cancellations
If you wish to cancel your order before it has been shipped, please contact us as soon as possible. Orders that have already been dispatched cannot be cancelled and must follow the standard return process above.
